The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has named a 23-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan. Head coach Eric Chelle announced the squad on March 18, 2026, with both matches relocated to Antalya, Turkey due to conflict in the Middle East.

Match Schedule Changed

Initially scheduled to be held in Amman, Jordan, the friendlies will now take place in Turkey. The Super Eagles will face Iran on March 27 and Jordan on March 31.

Key Players Included

The squad features key players like Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, and Ademola Lookman. Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze also make the squad.

First-Time Call-Ups and Absentees

Emmanuel Fernandez, Philip Otele, and Collins Yira Sor receive their first-ever call-ups. Victor Osimhen is notably absent, while Stanley Nwabali, the team’s first-choice goalkeeper, is omitted after parting ways with Chippa United.
