The Bayelsa State Police Command says it has rescued a 42-year-old woman nearly four weeks after she was abducted from Amassoma in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

The woman, identified in police reports as Esther Chinedu, was abducted on July 28 after suspected kidnappers reportedly entered her shop pretending to be customers before taking her away.

One suspect was arrested during the operation, according to the police.
