Police to enforce tinted glass permits nationwide from Oct 2.

The Nigeria Police Force has announced that nationwide enforcement of tinted glass permits will begin on October 2.

Jigawa Police PRO SP Shi’isu Adam said motorists must apply via possap.gov.ng using NIN or BVN, upload vehicle details, and undergo biometric capture.

Tinted glass regulations have sparked debates on privacy, security, and extortion risks. Authorities say the new online system will boost accountability and road safety.
