Tinubu Says He Prayed for Wisdom to Serve Nigeria During Makkah Visit

President Bola Tinubu says he prayed for wisdom and resilience to serve Nigerians during his visit to Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

In a statement published on November 2, the Presidency said Tinubu thanked King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for allowing him and members of his delegation to pray inside the Ka’abah.

Tinubu described the experience as deeply significant and said his prayers centred on his responsibilities to Nigerians.

Prayers for Peace and Unity

The President performed Umrah at the Grand Mosque in Makkah in the early hours of October 30, according to an earlier State House statement.

Speaking afterwards, he said he had prayed for Nigerians to live in peace and harmony. The Presidency said his prayers also concerned national unity, stability and relief from insecurity.

At a separate dinner with members of his delegation on November 1, Tinubu prayed for Nigeria’s diversity to become a source of prosperity.

The gathering included governors, ministers and other senior officials. Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu emphasised peaceful coexistence and a shared commitment to national development.
