The Defence Intelligence Agency has confirmed the killing of one of its officers, Col. Abdulsalam Ude, after unidentified armed men attacked his residence in Abuja.
The agency said the assailants attempted to abduct the officer shortly after he arrived at his residence in Phase 5, Army Housing Estate, Kurudu, on the outskirts of the Federal Capital Territory, according to published reports of the DIA statement.
