Tinubu Vows to Reclaim Forests from Terrorists Using Surveillance Tech

President Tinubu has vowed to reclaim Nigeria’s forests from terrorists using advanced surveillance systems. Speaking in Katsina, Tinubu blamed insecurity for scaring away investors, citing data that over 8,000 people were killed and 9,500 kidnapped since 2019. Katsina alone recorded 684 deaths in June 2024. The President called for collective action, promising technological investment and support for victims.
