Lobi Stars Relegated After Loss to Kano Pillars
The curtains have all but closed on Lobi Starsβ NPFL campaign after a 2-0 defeat to Kano Pillars on Sunday confirmed their relegation. With only 25 points from 33 games, even a perfect finish wonβt be enough to escape the drop.
Goals from Ahmed Musa and Naziru Auwalu at the Sani Abacha Stadium condemned the Benue-based side to the Nigeria National League (NNL) next season.
π Remo Stars Hold Top Spot Despite Draw
At the Mohammed Dikko Stadium, Remo Stars were held to a goalless draw by Katsina United. Still, the Sky Blue Stars extended their lead at the summit with 62 points, now seven points clear with five games to go.
Rival contenders Rivers United failed to capitalize, losing 2-0 to Abia Warriors, with Emmanuel Ogbuagu and Anthony Ijoma on target for the Umuahia side.
