CANEX Lagos: iDICE targets investor meetings for creative and tech businesses

The programme targets 40–50 meetings at CANEX WKND 2026, with investment leads intended for follow-up after the event.

Nigeria’s Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises programme, iDICE, plans to connect 15–20 creative and technology businesses with potential financiers at CANEX WKND 2026 in Lagos, according to its participation announcement.

The announcement sets a target of 40–50 investor-enterprise meetings through an event Deal Room, aimed at generating investment leads for follow-up after the gathering.

Deal Room seeks to connect businesses with capital

The announced financing participants include iDICE-backed fund managers Ventures Platform and Kuramo Capital, the BOI-iDICE Debt Fund, the Bank of Industry’s non-interest banking team and other participating financial institutions.

The programme also plans to showcase supported enterprises at an exhibition stand and provide information about financing options.

PUNCH published the participation announcement under its Branded Content label. Voice of Nigeria reported the same enterprise and meeting targets on November 6.

Lagos hosts four-day creative industry gathering

CANEX WKND 2026 runs from November 5–8 at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Cultural & Creative Arts, National Theatre, Lagos.

Organised by Afreximbank and hosted by Nigeria, the gathering involves the African Union Commission and the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat as partners. Its theme is “One People, United in Culture, Creating for the World.”

The published programme combines business engagement with exhibitions, masterclasses and cultural activities across film, music, fashion, literature, arts, design, gastronomy and sport.

The Bank of Industry confirms that it implements iDICE, a Federal Government initiative supporting Nigeria’s technology and creative sectors through skills development, enterprise support and access to finance.

Investment outcomes remain unverified

The participation announcement describes iDICE as a $617 million programme. That is the stated value of the wider initiative, rather than a new allocation to CANEX or evidence of money disbursed through the Deal Room.

The material reviewed did not establish how many planned meetings had taken place, whether investment agreements had been signed or whether funds had been disbursed through the Deal Room.
