Agatu LGA Gives Fulani Herdsmen 48 Hours to Leave Agricultural Lands

The Chairman of Agatu Local Government Area, James Melvin Ejeh, has given Fulani herdsmen a 48-hour ultimatum to vacate all agricultural lands, ahead of the planting season.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting on Saturday, Ejeh emphasized the need to protect farmers’ access to their lands for uninterrupted cultivation.

While the Ado of the Fulani requested a one-week extension, the council agreed to a peaceful relocation plan, with local youth groups and security agencies pledging support.
