ABUJA — Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has dismissed the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) opposition formation as a laughable political stunt, describing it as a “pedestrian joke.”

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Keyamo derided the registration move by the National Opposition Coalition Group as a mockery of the grand coalition that birthed the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2013.

“If they are thinking of recreating what the APC did in 2013, then this is nothing but a pedestrian joke,” Keyamo fired.

Keyamo insisted that no officially recognized political parties are involved in the ADA application. He labeled it a private initiative by a few opposition elements desperate for relevance ahead of the 2027 elections.

“After all the razzmatazz, it boils down to the fact that a new political party is just attempting registration by a few Nigerians,” he said.

The ADA coalition reportedly includes:

  • Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar

  • Ex-Governor Nasir El-Rufai

  • Former Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi

  • And other anti-Tinubu political heavyweightsBut Keyamo rubbished the effort, saying it lacked the substance and structure of a true political coalition.

“It is psychological warfare on Nigerians — a weak attempt at mass appeal,” he added.
