Victoria Island bus stop killings: Police investigate

Police are investigating the killing of three men at the Post Office Bus Stop on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, according to PUNCH.

The newspaper quoted Lagos police spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi as confirming the incident and saying investigators were working to trace those responsible and identify the victims’ families.

PUNCH reported that the attack occurred on Sunday, November 1, 2026. It described the men as people experiencing homelessness who were sleeping at the bus stop when they were attacked. Those circumstances were not detailed in the spokesperson’s published remarks.

Bodies taken for autopsy

Adebisi told the newspaper that the bodies had been moved to the Lagos State Government’s Mainland Hospital in Yaba for autopsy.

The published police response did not identify suspects or establish a motive. It also did not announce any arrests.

IDNN has not independently confirmed the incident. At the time of this review, it had not verified a subsequent police update on arrests, the victims’ identities or autopsy findings.
