Thunder Shock Pacers in Game 4 Comeback to Tie NBA Finals 2-2

INDIANAPOLIS – June 14, 2025 | IDNN Sports Desk

The Oklahoma City Thunder clawed their way back into the 2025 NBA Finals, outlasting the Indiana Pacers 111-104 in Game 4 thanks to a fourth-quarter explosion by league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Shai Ignites, Thunder Respond

Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 35 points, including 15 in the final quarter, as the Thunder erased a 10-point third-quarter deficit to tie the series at 2-2.

“It’s a dogfight every game,” Shai said postgame. “We knew 3-1 would be a dangerous hole. We weren’t going down like that.”

He sealed the win with six free throws in the last 44 seconds and a clutch pull-up jumper after a cold stretch early in the game.

Indiana Let It Slip

Shai said postgame. “We knew 3-1 would be a dangerous hole. We weren’t going down like that.”

The Pacers led by 10 late in the third and looked poised to take a 3-1 stranglehold. But Oklahoma’s defensive clamp in the fourth — anchored by Chet Holmgren (14 pts, 15 rebounds) — proved decisive.

Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
Tyrese Haliburton scored 18. Obi Toppin had 17 off the bench but drew two flagrant fouls in a chippy contest.

Foul Drama & Intensity Escalate

Game 4 featured:

  • A flagrant foul on Toppin for shoving Caruso under the basket

  • Technicals exchanged after Hartenstein confronted Toppin

  • Dort hit with a flagrant for a swipe over Toppin’s head

The tone was physical, emotional, and Finals-level desperate.

  • 🏀 Jalen Williams: 27 pts

  • 🏀 Caruso: 20 pts (bench spark)
