Super Eagles Gear Up for Friendlies with 21 Players in Camp

21 players have checked into the Super Eagles’ camp in Antalya, Turkey. The squad, bolstered by new arrivals, is preparing for two international friendlies against Iran and Jordan. The team is based at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel, where they will begin training at 4 pm local time on March 25.

Key players in camp include Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye, along with forwards Frank Onyeka and Paul Onuachu, also join the squad.

Training and Team Preparation
Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe, expressed satisfaction with the players’ early arrivals. Efoghe said, “The early arrivals show commitment and readiness for the task ahead. We will focus on integrating the team and preparing for the upcoming matches.”

Coaching Focus and Squad Integration
Head coach Eric Chelle emphasized that team integration is a priority. “We need to blend the squad effectively in our limited training sessions,” said Efoghe. These training sessions will be crucial for solidifying strategies ahead of the fixtures.

Venue and Fixture Changes
Nigeria’s match against Iran will take place on Friday, March 27, while the second match against Jordan is scheduled for March 31. Both games were moved to Antalya, Turkey, due to security concerns in the Middle East, which led to the decision to relocate the fixtures from Amman.
