Super Eagles Arrive in Antalya for Friendlies
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are gearing up for their upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan with 15 players already in camp in Antalya. The official camp opened on March 24, with both coaching staff and players settling in ahead of the fixtures.
Early Arrivals and Training Kickoff
By Tuesday evening, March 24, 15 players had checked into the camp, including key figures like Alex Iwobi and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in midfield, as well as defenders Semi Ajayi, Bruno Onyemaechi, and Emmanuel Fernandez. In attack, Moses Simon, Paul Onuachu, Philip Otele, and Collins Yira Sor joined, alongside goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye.

Team Setup and First Session
The team is stationed at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel in Antalya, and their first training session takes place later today, March 25 at 4 pm local time. The session marks the beginning of their preparations for the two friendlies scheduled for March 27 and 31.
Match Schedule and Venue Change
Nigeria’s first match will be against Iran on Friday, March 27, at 4 pm Nigerian time, followed by their clash with Jordan on Tuesday, March 31, with a 8 pm kick-off. Both games were moved to Antalya, Turkey, after security concerns and rising tensions in the Middle East prevented the original fixtures from being held in Amman, Jordan.

Absentees and Squad Overview
Despite the 23-man squad named by head coach Eric Chelle, key players such as Victor Osimhen, Ola Aina, and Stanley Nwabali have not joined the camp due to injuries or other commitments. The team remains optimistic, though, with the current players pushing to make an impact in these friendlies as they look to improve their form ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.
