Raducanu pulls out of Miami Open

Raducanu Withdraws from Miami Open

Emma Raducanu has been forced to withdraw from the 2026 Miami Open due to illness, continuing her battle to recover. The British tennis star was given a bye into the second round, but has now pulled out of the prestigious tournament.

The 23-year-old Raducanu, who shocked the tennis world by winning the US Open in 2021, has struggled with injuries and inconsistent form since her Grand Slam victory. She has faced various fitness setbacks and has worked with multiple coaches in a bid to regain her peak performance but has found little success.

Raducanu’s absence from the Miami Open means that she won’t be able to build on her solid run to the quarter-finals in Florida last year. With the main draw starting on Tuesday, March 17, and running until March 29, the tournament will continue without the young star.
