NPFL Updates: Lekan Salami Stadium Ban Lifted, Kabeer Amah Set for Sweden Move, Kun Khalifat Appoint New Manager

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has lifted the ban on Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. This decision provides Shooting Stars Sports Club with a vital boost ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

Previously, the stadium was suspended from hosting matches due to its poor playing surface. As a result, Shooting Stars had to play their home games at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta. With the ban now lifted, the team will return to Ibadan for their home match against Kano Pillars on Sunday.

Shooting Stars are eager to bounce back after suffering a 4-1 loss to Plateau United in their last game.

Kabeer Amah’s Move to Sweden

Meanwhile, Kabeer Amah is set to complete a move to Sweden after an outstanding season with Barau FC. Amah played a key role in the team’s promotion to the NPFL. His strong performances caught the attention of overseas clubs. Amah is currently in Europe to finalize the deal. He will undergo a medical and finalize personal terms in the coming days.

Kun Khalifat Appoints New Manager

Kun Khalifat FC has appointed Ekpemandu Christopher Chijioke as their new team manager. This comes after Ifeanyi Anaemena stepped down following a difficult period with the team. Kun Khalifat is struggling at 19th in the NPFL table, with 28 points from 27 matches. They are determined to escape the relegation zone and stay in the top flight.
