Bayer Leverkusen winger Nathan Tella is attracting renewed interest from English clubs, with Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, and Leeds United all reportedly monitoring the Super Eagles star ahead of the new season.

According to TBR Football, scouts from the three clubs were in attendance as Leverkusen faced Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Friday night. Although Chelsea emerged victorious, Tella’s display caught the eye, reinforcing his credentials for a possible move back to England.

The 26-year-old has a proven track record in English football. After joining Southampton from Arsenal’s academy, he made 44 senior appearances for the Saints before enjoying a stellar loan spell at Burnley in 2022/23, where he scored 17 goals and helped the club clinch the Championship title with a record 101 points under Vincent Kompany.

In 2023, Tella signed for Bayer Leverkusen and enjoyed immediate success, winning the Bundesliga in his debut campaign under Xabi Alonso. His speed, tactical discipline, and ability to operate across the front line have made him a valuable asset in both domestic and European competitions.

Sources close to the player suggest he is open to returning to the Premier League or Championship if the right offer materialises. Leeds, still pushing for promotion, see him as a game-changer, while Brighton and Forest are keen to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

The competition for Tella’s signature could intensify in the coming weeks, with his Bundesliga triumph and European experience adding to his market value.
