New York – It was wild, it was loud, and it was straight-up hostile. Jalen Brunson dropped 39 points to lead the New York Knicks to a comeback 121-113 win over the Boston Celtics, giving the Knicks a commanding 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Boston led by 14 points early in the third, but Brunson ignited MSG like a powder keg. His fourth-quarter surge, capped by a steal and slam from OG Anunoby, sent Knicks fans into orbit.

“I wasn’t trying to take over,” Brunson said. “I just did whatever we had to do.”

Tatum Injured, Celtics in Trouble

Celtics star Jayson Tatum dropped 42 points, but exited late in the fourth with a lower body injury. He was wheeled out of the Garden for scans.

With Game 5 looming in Boston, the Celtics now face elimination and uncertainty.
