A dramatic own goal by Amara Keita in the 115th minute gifted Morocco a tense 1-0 win over 10-man Sierra Leone to secure a U20 AFCON semi-final spot and book their place at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Sierra Leone, reduced to 10 men after Samba Bah’s red card, defended bravely but were undone by cruel fate in extra time.

Morocco have now reached their second AFCON U20 semi-final since 2005 and remain unbeaten in 13 straight matches.

“Patience, pressure, payoff,” said coach Mohamed Ouahbi.

Sierra Leone exit with pride — Morocco march on.
