Kelechi Iheanacho said he was happy to make the difference for Celtic after scoring the late winner in Sunday’s 2-1 Scottish Premiership victory over Dundee at Dens Park. The Nigerian striker came off the bench to score the decisive goal and keep Celtic firmly in the title race.
Celtic had gone in front through Hyun-Jun Yang, but Dundee levelled through Simon Murray from the penalty spot after a handball decision. Iheanacho then struck late to restore Celtic’s lead and seal all three points. The result moved Celtic to within three points of leaders Hearts.

Speaking after the match, Iheanacho said, “It feels good to help the team to get the win today,” and added that Celtic “really showed character” in a difficult game. The official Celtic account of his reaction said the forward was pleased to contribute after an injury-hit spell.
