Military says troops repel ISWAP attack on Pulka base, one soldier wounded
The Nigerian military says troops repelled an attack by suspected Islamic State West Africa Province fighters on a military position in Pulka, Borno State, leaving one soldier wounded.
The attack occurred on 7 September 2026 in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area, according to Operation Hadin Kai, the joint military task force responsible for counter-terrorism operations in the North-East.
Acting Military Information Officer Capt. Mohammed Goni said the attackers attempted to overrun the position but were pushed back by security forces.
