Gombe Begins Emergency Diphtheria Vaccination as About 332 Cases Are Reported Across Four LGAs
Gombe State has begun an emergency diphtheria vaccination campaign after authorities reported about 332 cases across four local government areas, drawing schools and communities into an intensified containment effort.
The affected LGAs are Akko, Gombe, Kwami and Funakaye.
Current reports published on September 20 say the state’s Ministry of Education directed school principals to cooperate with authorised health teams during the exercise.
