Barely 48 hours after the North-East governors’ forum met in Damaturu to tackle insecurity, suspected Boko Haram fighters launched a midnight attack on the 27 Task Force Brigade in Yobe. Military sources confirmed the incident, as fear grows over renewed insurgent activity in the region, where culvert destruction and abductions have spiked along key roads.
