Bauchi police arrest woman over alleged killing of co-wife
Police in Bauchi State have arrested a 33-year-old woman, Hauwa’u Haruna, over the death of her co-wife, Jamila Adamu, 43, following an alleged domestic assault at Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate in Bauchi.
According to the police account, the incident occurred on September 27 during a domestic dispute.
Police alleged that Haruna struck Adamu on the forehead with a pestle.
Adamu was taken to Specialist Hospital, Bauchi, where a doctor certified her dead.

Bauchi police said Haruna was arrested after the incident and that a pestle allegedly used in the assault was recovered as an exhibit.
The case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
