Senate President Godswill Akpabio has rejected allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan that he conducts Senate affairs like a dictator.
Speaking to reporters in Abuja, Akpabio said the Senate operates under clear rules and that all lawmakers are given equal opportunity to voice their positions. “The Senate of the Federal Republic is a democratic institution. There is no place for dictatorship here,” he declared.
Senator Natasha, who resumed her seat after a legal battle, had told journalists that her colleagues were being stifled under Akpabio’s leadership.
