Alex Iwobi Nominated For Premier League Player Of The Month Award

Iwobi Earns Premier League Recognition
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for March after a strong run of performances for the London club.

The Nigerian midfielder played in all four of Fulham’s league matches during the month and helped his side record two wins, one draw and one defeat. He also scored once and remained one of the team’s most consistent performers across the month.

Strong Form Boosts Fulham’s European Push
Iwobi’s nomination reflects his growing influence in Fulham’s midfield as the club continues its push for a European place.

Throughout March, he impressed with his composure on the ball, movement between the lines and ability to link defence with attack. He has also adapted well to a deeper midfield role, where his tactical discipline and ball progression have become key parts of Fulham’s structure.

One of his standout moments came in Fulham’s win over Tottenham Hotspur, when he scored from long range with a well-placed strike into the far corner. That goal capped a month in which he consistently helped control the tempo of matches.

Big Names Also In The Race
Still, Iwobi faces tough competition for the award.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is among the leading contenders after recording six goal involvements in four matches. Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon also made the shortlist after scoring three goals in three appearances.

Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, Brighton’s Danny Welbeck, Everton’s James Garner and Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya also received nominations after strong performances during the month.

Another Milestone In A Strong EPL Career
Iwobi’s latest recognition adds to what has already been a long and steady Premier League career.

At 29, he remains the Nigerian with the most appearances in Premier League history, having played more than 300 matches across spells with Arsenal, Everton and Fulham. His latest form now puts him in the conversation for one of the league’s standout individual honours for March.
