Police still reconciling casualty figures
Ondo State Commissioner for Health Banji Ajaka and Odigbo Local Government Chairman Taiwo Adegoroye have reported 27 deaths linked to the outbreak under investigation.
Police, however, have said casualty information is still being compiled from hospitals and affected communities.
Higher figures have appeared in some reports, but those numbers have not been adopted as the final verified toll.
