Police confirm Ajah hairstylist killing as investigation continues with no suspect identified
Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a hairstylist identified simply as Elvis around Alesh Market in Ajah, with investigators yet to identify a suspect.
Police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the incident and said the investigation was ongoing.
“No suspect yet. Investigation is ongoing,” she said.
The killing occurred on Saturday evening, according to current reporting.
Police source describes suspected robbery
A police source said Elvis was returning from work when suspected robbers attacked people around the market and dispossessed some of their belongings.
The source said Elvis resisted during the incident and was shot.
That account remains part of the police investigation. IDNN has not independently reconstructed the attack or established the motive as a final finding.
Reports that other passersby were robbed during the incident also remain based on the same police-source account.
No suspect identified
As of the latest police confirmation reviewed by IDNN, no suspect had been identified or arrested over the killing.
