Historic PSG Annihilation: Doué, Dembélé Inspire 5-0 UCL Final Thrashing of Inter Milan

MUNICH — It finally happened. And when it did, it came with thunder.

Paris Saint-Germain tore apart Inter Milan in a one-sided UEFA Champions League final, securing their maiden UCL title in emphatic fashion with a 5-0 demolition that will be etched into football folklore. Led by 19-year-old sensation Désiré Doué, Les Parisiens didn’t just win — they rewrote the script, delivering the biggest winning margin ever in a UCL final.

 Doué’s Double and Dembélé’s Dynamite

The evening began with an odd gesture from Vitinha — booting the ball out to reset nerves — but the Portuguese maestro quickly found rhythm. Within 12 minutes, he released Doué with a sublime pass. Rather than go for glory, the teen prodigy squared for Achraf Hakimi, who coolly slotted home against his former club.

It was the earliest UCL final goal since 2019. But it was only a sign of what was to come.

Doué, oozing composure, made it 2-0 minutes later with a deflected shot off Dimarco after controlling Dembélé’s incisive ball. That sequence turned the Allianz Arena into a Parisian festival, while Inter were left chasing ghosts.

Inter Collapse as History Is Made

Despite flashes of threat — a corner here, a Kvaratskhelia half-chance there — Inter never matched PSG’s intensity. Coach Simone Inzaghi‘s double substitution only brought further chaos: bookings, blocked shots, and the injury of sub Yann Bisseck, who limped off minutes after entering.

The third goal, again from Doué in the 63rd, was a dagger — calmly dispatched after another Vitinha assist. That goal put Doué alongside legends like Eusebio, becoming the first teenager since 1962 to score twice in a UCL final.

With Kvaratskhelia scoring the fourth — the first Georgian ever to net in a UCL final — and teen wonder Senny Mayulu crashing in the fifth off the post, PSG cemented their dominance.

 Redemption, Reinvention, Revolution

This was not just victory; this was vindication.

After years of chasing Galáctico dreams — Zlatan, Neymar, Messi, Mbappé — PSG found triumph by switching strategy: less star, more system. Ironically, they clinched glory in their first post-Mbappé season, as the Frenchman watched from Madrid.

Coach Luis Enrique, in his debut season, masterminded the turnaround. “He changed everything,” Hakimi said. “He deserves this more than anyone.”

 French Football’s Second Crown

PSG’s win ends a 32-year drought for French clubs, with Marseille (1993) being the only prior winners. It’s also a quadruple season — Ligue 1, Coupe de France, Trophée des Champions, and now the UCL.

In defeat, Inter were unrecognizable. Their second final loss in three years concludes a promising season with no silverware.

As the final whistle echoed through Munich, PSG fans erupted. Flares lit the night sky. The ghosts of Lisbon 2020 — where PSG lost to Bayern in a fan-less final — were finally exorcised. This time, they were not just champions. They were conquerors.
