He added, “I’m convinced the preparation he’s had over the past three months will be beneficial in the long run. Sinner has not completed a proper winter pre-season in recent years. This break allows him to recharge for the next two to three seasons.”

Sinner resumed training on April 13. He has since ramped up his preparations in Monte Carlo and practiced with Indian Wells champion Jack Draper at the Tennis Club de Beaulieu in France. “He told me Jannik is extremely motivated, fully focused on upcoming tournaments, and mentally calm,” Volandri said.
Gradual Comeback Expected Before Paris Peak
Volandri cautioned that Sinner might need a few matches to regain his competitive edge. “Nothing replaces match adrenaline, so I don’t expect a winning streak right away. But the more matches he plays, the closer he’ll get to his ideal form for Paris,” he said.
