Iheanacho Scores in Celtic Europa League Draw Against Red Star

By IDNN Sports Desk

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored Celtic’s only goal in a 1–1 Europa League draw with Red Star Belgrade on Thursday night.

Iheanacho struck in the 52nd minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse, before Red Star equalised late on. The result keeps Celtic’s qualification hopes alive.

Super Eagles Abroad

Iheanacho has scored in consecutive European appearances for Celtic, making him one of the standout Nigerian exports this season. His performances have also reignited calls for his recall to Nigeria’s national team squad.

European Hopes and Super Eagles Case

The draw leaves Celtic second in their group. For Nigeria, Iheanacho’s form adds depth to a frontline already featuring Osimhen and Boniface.
