CALABAR — The Cross River State Police Command is seeking public help to identify an unnamed woman found dead in a hotel in Calabar South as investigators continue efforts to locate the male guest who lodged with her.

Police released the woman’s photograph on September 23 specifically to help establish her identity and trace relatives or associates.

Woman remains unidentified

Police says the woman lodged with a male guest at a hotel along Clifford Lane.

Investigators say she was later found unresponsive in the room and was taken to General Hospital, Calabar, where police says she was confirmed dead.

Her identity has not been established.

Police is asking anyone who recognises her or can provide information about relatives or associates to contact investigators.

Male guest remains sought

Police says the man who lodged with the woman was not properly documented by the hotel and his whereabouts remain under investigation.

His presence at the hotel does not establish that he caused her death.
