D’Tigress Coach Rena Wakama Appointed Head Coach of Hive BC in U.S. League

Nigeria’s D’Tigress head coach, Rena Wakama, has been appointed head coach of Hive BC in the U.S. Unrivaled Basketball League. The 32-year-old led D’Tigress to AfroBasket titles in 2023 and 2025 and a historic Olympic quarterfinal berth, becoming the first African coach to manage in the U.S. women’s pro league.
