Tinubu clemency

The Federal Government has clarified that no inmate has been released under President Bola Tinubu’s recent Prerogative of Mercy exercise, saying the process remains in its final administrative stage. Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi explained that the Council of State’s approval was followed by standard legal verification to ensure full compliance with the rule of law before any releases occur.
