Three influential PDP state chapters—Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Jigawa—have rejected the Ibadan national convention, insisting the exercise violated court orders and lacked credibility. Their pushback gained momentum as party elder Sule Lamido dismissed the gathering as “friends entertaining themselves,” deepening internal fractures and questioning the legitimacy of the newly announced leadership.
