DRTS Vows to Appeal VIO Court Ban, Says Abuja Now âLawlessâ After Judgment Restricting Enforcement
The Directorate of Road Traffic Services says it will âcertainlyâ appeal the Court of Appeal ruling that bars VIO officials from stopping vehicles, impounding cars or issuing fines. Acting Director Deborah Osho says the judgment has triggered âlawlessnessâ across Abuja, claiming motorists now flout rules freely while over âŚ409m in unpaid fines remain outstanding since enforcement was halted.
