Enugu protest

Supporters of Labour Party lawmaker-elect Bright Ngene staged a protest at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference in Enugu, demanding his release. Ngene, who has remained in prison since July 2024, controversially won re-election from detention this month. Protesters say his case amounts to “grave injustice and subversion of democracy.”
