Electoral Act amendments committee

Nigeria’s Senate has constituted a seven-member ad hoc committee to harmonise lawmakers’ inputs on proposed Electoral Act amendments. The panel, announced after a closed-door session, is expected to distil senators’ positions and submit a consolidated report within three days as the upper chamber intensifies scrutiny of reforms ahead of future elections.
