John Utaka Appointed Montpellier Women’s Head Coach

Former Super Eagles forward John Utaka has been named head coach of Montpellier’s women’s team in France. The 43-year-old replaces Frédéric Mendy and will work alongside Baptiste Merle under sporting director Jean-Louis Saez. Utaka, a 2011–12 Ligue 1 winner with Montpellier, is now the only African head coach in France’s top-tier women’s league.
