Petrol Tanker Fire at Onitsha Filling Station Brought Under Control, No Casualties Reported
A petrol-laden tanker caught fire at a filling station in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Monday night, causing panic and traffic disruption before firefighters brought the blaze under control.
The Anambra State Fire Service said the incident occurred at Pillars Energy Filling Station near the Stock Exchange at about 9:20 p.m. on September 28.
Firefighters deployed two trucks to the scene and battled the blaze until it was contained.
The service said no life was lost.
