The National Emergency Management Agency had urged residents and relevant stakeholders to strengthen preparedness after the Nigerian Meteorological Agency issued a flash-flood risk advisory for 26 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The NiMet outlook covered the second dekad of July 2026, from July 11 to July 20.
