KADUNA — Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has condemned the murder of 12 Kaduna indigenes by a mob in Mangu, Plateau State, and demanded that justice be swift, visible, and uncompromising.

Reacting to the gruesome attack on wedding guests traveling from Zaria to Qua’an Pan, Governor Sani said the incident was not only a tragedy for Kaduna but a national disgrace.

“We condemn in the strongest terms these acts of savagery. There is no justification for attacking citizens anywhere in Nigeria,” he said in an official statement.

Sani called on Governor Caleb Mutfwang to make a bold stand and direct the security agencies under his command to ensure every killer is hunted down.

“He must take full charge and send a message that Plateau is not lawless,” Sani emphasized.

The governor also pledged to personally follow up on the investigations and security operations, declaring that impunity must not stand.

“Let this be a clear signal: those who spill blood will face consequences. We are watching,” he said.

He appealed for calm in Kaduna, asking citizens not to retaliate or fuel religious or ethnic tension.

“The Kaduna Peace Model has shown that toxic environments can be turned into oases of peace with political will. Plateau is not beyond redemption.”

Sani expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and vowed to stand by them through the pursuit of justice.
