Nnadozie Leaves Paris FC After 5-Year Stint Marked by Glory and Greatness

PARIS, FRANCE — June 14, 2025 | IDNN Women’s Football Desk

Chiamaka Nnadozie, Nigeria’s reigning African Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, has bid farewell to Paris FC, ending an extraordinary five-year journey with the French club.

Paris FC announced her departure this week, thanking the 24-year-old for her “immeasurable contribution” and leadership during her time between the sticks.

 Ending on a High

Nnadozie’s final act was nothing short of legendary — she saved two penalties in a dramatic shootout victory over Paris Saint-Germain to win the Coupe de France, delivering Paris FC’s second title in club history.

She was later crowned the Best Goalkeeper in France’s Arkema Premier League (2023/24).

From Rivers Angels to French Glory

Nnadozie joined Paris FC in January 2020 after helping Rivers Angels win the Nigerian Women’s League title. She immediately became a starter and fan favourite in France.

Known for her shot-stopping, agility, and calm under pressure, she’s widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in women’s football today.

“She Left an Imprint on Our History”

“Chiamaka will forever be part of this club’s story. Her saves, her passion, her heart — we are grateful.”

In their tribute, Paris FC wrote:

“Chiamaka will forever be part of this club’s story. Her saves, her passion, her heart — we are grateful.”

Her departure comes just ahead of the new transfer window, with several top European clubs reportedly interested in signing her — including Chelsea, Wolfsburg, and clubs in the NWSL.

Africa’s #1, Ready for the Next Stage

With two CAF Best Goalkeeper awards in back-to-back years (2023 & 2024), and growing global recognition, Nnadozie now looks to take the next leap in her already decorated career.
